Well, I couldn’t have scripted this better if I tried, could I.
Just last week I was talking about catching our breath after the recent reveals of the Macharian Adversary Guide for Imperium Maledictum and the announcement of Warhammer Necromunda Roleplay. And now, one week on and having had a chance to digest all that, here comes another entree!
Cubicle 7 Games revealed this week the next supplement for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, which is still basking in the glow of the 5th Edition release. Wrecker’s Point is both sourcebook and adventure, set on a remote headland nestled between the Sea of Claws, Laurelorn Forest, and marshy Wasteland to the west.
Community response to the announcement has naturally invoked some of the frustrations with Sylvania: The Cursed Country, mainly that what appeared to be a single supplement had been split into three releases without enough player-facing content in the first installment.
There was also the question of whether or not this was considered a 4th Edition or 5th Edition.
This… seems to indicate that Wrecker’s Point may be similar to Temple of Spite, being a 4th Edition release that is easily ported to 5th. But attempts to clarify that were curiously circumspect:
Just to throw some context in for that first sentence, there was also a question as to whether or not this was WFRP or The Old World. But this response mirrors the somewhat indirect manner of the earlier one.
All the same, having another announced release is always going to be exciting, and reviews and deep dives will certainly commence once the preorder window opens and the PDF becomes available.
Dead Air
I tuned in to the Big Autumn Preview Show Q&A today to see if there would be any questions around the Necromunda RPG to share, aaand… unfortunately there weren’t.
There were questions around the new paint line (Tone Pro), whether or not there would be any more Codexis released in 2026 (there won’t be), and some lore questions around the Khazalite Holds faction, but alas we’ll have to continue to wait for more information about the game.
But hey, if your only interest was the RPG, then I’ve saved you twenty minutes, so there’s that!
RPG Bestsellers
Bookwriters get their New York Times bestseller lists, so why shouldn’t we enjoy the same thing? While we don’t have any aggregated sales lists, we can use DriveThruRPG’s top-seller list as a reasonable barometer- and here’s this week’s snapshot!
Warhammer RPG Titles in the Top 200:
#1 ( - ) Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay: Fifth Edition Core Rulebook
#2 ( - ) Imperium Maledictum: Macharian Adversary Guide
#58 (-9). Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay: Sylvania: The Cursed County
#143 (-16). Wrath & Glory: Core Rulebook
Total Books in Top 200: 4 (-1)
A slight shrinking of Cubicle 7’s footprint on the top 200, but when you’ve got the top two best-selling titles this week that more than makes up for it. Interest in WFRP’s 5th Edition clearly remains high, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the Macharian Adversary Guide almost bury the needle as well.
Long may it last!
ICYMI
Wondering what’s inside the Macharian Adversary Guide? Dan “Bad GM” Cole of the Professional Casuals has a review up!
Careless Conjuration’s running series The GM’s Guide to the Enemy Within dropped its latest this week, covering the “funhouse dungeon” elements of the Inner Bailey of Castle Wittgenstein in Chapter 7 of Death on the Reik.
It Always Rains in Nuln dove into The Warband of Bayl of Many Eyes, a “perfect example of a game add-on done (mostly) right.”
Meanwhile, Ill Met by Morrslieb had a deep WFRP review this week as well, looking over the Tome of Corruption from 2nd Edition.
Coming Attractions
Here’s a list of the known upcoming physical releases based on the available preorder information we have. Note that Cubicle 7’s own delivery estimates appear to be just that- estimates- which is why many products have an upcoming delivery listed for Q1 while we’re already past that.
This section will be updated weekly in this column, with new or updated info presented in boldface.

Thanks for reading this week, and happy gaming!

Not complaining by the way. I love the book!
I’m not an expert on the different editions or C7 books, but I just got the dwarf player’s guide collector edition on discount and it seems like 90% of it could be used for either edition or even for the old world. Maybe C7 is thinking the edition doesn’t matter so much? 😁
