Happy Friday! We’re back with the latest look around the webway at what’s new and exciting in the Warhammer RPG scene.
It’s been a quiet week after Cubicle 7 Games dropped a teaser on us for the upcoming Sylvania Setting Guide last Friday. But “quiet,” of course, doesn’t mean “dead.” Before we jump in, though, a quick site update for our RPG content subscribers.
As I wrote about here last Monday, I’ve broken out the Black Library content into two Categories, Black Library Weekly and Black Library Features. All site Subscribers (RPG and Black Library) were automatically subbed to the new Black Library Features category. If you’re an RPG-only subscriber who doesn’t want Black Library content emailed to you, no problem! I go into how to manage your email notifications for the Wordforge here. Bookwriters get their New York Times bestseller lists, so why shouldn’t we enjoy the same thing? While we don’t have any aggregated sales lists, we can use DriveThruRPG’s top-seller list as a reasonable barometer- and here’s this week’s snapshot!

I’m actually not sure how much deeper the hole goes, but I suspect it’s pretty deep. #255 is Dark Heresy Second Edition’s Core Rulebook. Five slots later there’s the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Core Rulebook. Rogue Trader’s Core Rulebook at #276. Warhammer The Old World: Player’s Guide at #288. And I’m refusing to go past #300, because at this point it feels less like bestseller data and more like pub trivia answers.

A Drop Pod from Fenris
Great news for Wrath & Glory players as the preorders for the Sons of Russ expansion began fulfillment this week. From new archetypes and powers, to wargear and NPC’s, the book also includes a Tier 4/5 adventure for Space Wolf characters.

AngelAnvar of Careless Conjuration released a GM’s Guide to The Enemy Within, filled with guidance and tips from their experience running this classic campaign multiple times.
Xathrodox86 of the It Always Rains in Nuln blog shared that they were part of a roundtable discussion on the role of TTRPG’s in education. This should be an interesting conversation, as the role of the hobby in the classroom is an evolving one.
Zekiel of Ill Met by Morrslieb mused this week about they’d like to see coming up in WFRP’s 5th Edition, including a look at the strengths (and weaknesses) of 4th Edition.
