I ordered Imperium Maledictum. You should def contact GW and tell them you’re in the royalty pipeline now

Nice, welcome to the club! Was just working on something RPG-related for the site this evening, a campaign sourcebook of sorts based on a BL novel

A really great idea. Disclosure: I know little about Warhammer RPG. But looking forward to this series.

Thank you! The fun thing is, the stuff I've done (and want to continue doing here) for the RPG is all system-agnostic. Indeed, it's pretty similar to the Warhammer narrative campaign books (like 500 Worlds), which I often buy even though I don't play the wargame just because it's a treasure trove of lore.

A man after my own Warhammer heart. I think the games look very interesting, are sometimes the unfortunate reason for certain negative externalities related to the story publishing, and that Warhammer wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t primarily a wargaming system. So no shade whatsoever at the gaming side. And miniature collection and painting is something I’ll probably take up at some point. But I was somewhat recently drawn to this universe entirely because of the narratives and remain interested on that basis.

RIght there with you. I was into the books for years before I bought my first mini, and using the minis to decorate my Museum is still one of the top reasons I buy them. You're absolutely right to note that the longevity of the entire franchise is carried on the back of the tabletop, but the ecosystem that's resulted from that has no peer in gaming.

Yes, well-put. When I first got into the verse, I thought the gaming side was purely a money grab. And no doubt it’s the financial foundation of the organization. But I eventually realized that the lore/literary elements would not look nearly same without the more tangible, social, and collaborative side that gaming and miniatures provide, and not for the better in their absence. I still don’t exactly understand the concrete details of how that relationship produces what it does, but it’s clear that it wouldn’t be all that Warhammer is without it
