It’s so weird that everyone has so much of a problem getting these books. Yes I’d say last year I couldn’t get anything no books at all always out of stock. But since I’d say the start of this year I’ve had ZERO problem getting special ed books. I log on anywhere from 10:55am- 1130am no problems always got both standard hard back and special ed hard back just in and out. I don’t know if this has anything to do with it but I subscribed to Warhammer + and for some stupid reason ever since I did that it seems like I have had zero problems with getting the books. I know it might just be a coin winky dink, but who knows right lol maybe the system sees that I’m not a scalper and actually sees I’ve been buying from them for the past 20+ years and maybe that’s something to do with it who knows I mean if it’s that way cool that’s fine. I’ve been buying from them from forever and ever lol. Anyway just my 2 cents maybe nothing to it but maybe there is i donno.
Of course Tchaikovsky has time to paint minis. After all he’s only putting out something like 4 books a year or whatever and signing hundreds of copies of each. No big deal.
Maybe it's because I'm a massive piece of shit but I really hated that you know. Everyone in EU had to wait to buy whatever they wanted for 2 fucking hours with no communication from games workshop but when it comes to North America everything goes smoothly.
I'm not saying people in NA should suffer like the folks in EU but I'm saying that, hey maybe GW should care some more about their EU presence.
We already seen their bias towards NA with their Hive limited edition fiasco.
Were you after Galaxy in Flames PE as well, and did you get one? I’m glad you shared all that, because I often have to sort of piece the experience together from the scraps that make their way into the communities. I knew it was bad, but genuinely didn’t realize it was *that* bad. Two hours, holy Maloney!
Yeah this is one thing I got very angry at which is like. People in NA region not noticing our issues. I'm not saying, hey be miserable like us or give us some pity points. But just acknowledge oh shit these people suffered.
Tldr for what happened. As usual log into the store 5 minutes before, galaxy in flames appears in black library pre order page and immediately the entirety of the stores in all of EU countries lock down. You can't add anything to your cart, it's just stuck and I do mean anything. Some people were able to get things into the cart but majority couldn't. And even those who can put things into cart couldn't proceed.
And this lasted for 2 god damn hours. If you want like a live reaction you should go onto the black library subreddit Saturday megathread. If you sort it out by new you can see the comments. One guy even went to make a coffee.
And no communication throughout it. Most fascinating thing to me was it was ALL the stores in EU time. That had the error.
I was able to get the novel but I felt very heartbroken seeing people not able to get it. It's always with the god damn heresy novels. It's always them that freeze the site.
Scalpers can take other limited or special editions but it's only the heresy novels that have that affect.
I'll definitely pay closer attention to regions going forward. Typically from what I've seen when Europe has issues, we saw them coming earlier with NZ, AUS, etc. For things to go smoothly with them but crap the bed for Europe isn't something I've run into before that I can recall. If you don't mind I'd like to use some of this in next week's piece, taking a closer look at the issue!

So today is 22nd of August and I'm here to inform you that on the pre order day for deathwatch special edition. The site stopped working again.
It's two weeks back to back. Idk how long it will take them to fix it this time.
